Privacy

This site does not set cookies, does not run analytics, and loads no fonts or scripts from third parties. It stores personal data in exactly two cases: when you leave your e-mail address to be notified, and when you write through the contact form. Everything else on this page describes the plumbing behind those two cases.

2. Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Netlify's servers process the data your browser sends — IP address, time, requested page, browser type — to deliver the page and to keep the service secure. Netlify keeps these logs for a short period and I do not use them to identify you. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure site (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR). Netlify processes data in the United States on the basis of the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses; see Netlify's privacy policy.

3. “Notify me”

If you enter your e-mail address in the notify form, Netlify Forms stores it and sends me a notification. Nothing is sent back to you at that moment — no confirmation mail, no welcome mail, nothing at all until there is something to announce. I use the address for one purpose: to tell you, once, when the first public version of Musicae is available. Before that release mail goes out you will receive a single short message asking you to confirm, and only addresses that confirm receive it. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to info@musicae.app; the address is then deleted. Addresses that do not confirm, and every address once the release mail has been sent, are deleted as well.

4. Contact form and e-mail

If you write through the contact form or by e-mail, I store what you send — your message, your e-mail address and, if you give it, your name — for as long as it takes to answer you and, where the correspondence concerns a purchase or a legal matter, for as long as I am required to keep it. Legal basis: answering your request (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR) or my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR). The form is handled by Netlify Forms as described above.

5. What this site does not do

No cookies. No analytics or tracking pixels. No embedded social media. The serif typeface is served from this site, not from Google. The album you choose under the hero to colour the page is remembered only in your browser, and only until you close the tab.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the one at your habitual residence.

7. Changes

This notice describes the site as it is today. If the site gains a shop, a download, or a mailing provider, this page changes first.
